Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North, will on Friday 6th March 2015, be visiting a group of young apprentices who have taken part in a renovation project in partnership with Broadland District Council.

Chloe will be visiting Broadland Council Training Services (BTCS) Training Centre in Hellesdon, which has seen a group of young apprentices work on repairing the building’s dilapidations prior to Broadland District Council return the property to its landlord.

The project has seen the apprentices working towards various qualifications under instruction from Construction Training Specialists (CTS), a local business involved in the project.

Broadland District Council, partners of Chloe’s Norwich For Jobs project, and have invited Chloe ahead of National Apprenticeships Week to visit the project and to meet the young apprentices to hear first-hand the benefits that such a project has had on their skills development and pathways into employment.

Chloe comments: “Having led the Norwich For Jobs project to success, I’m passionate about young people’s prospects in our area. BCTS has got a clever scheme at this site which gives apprentices a great chance. It stands to make such a difference for everyone who takes part to have a future built on secure skills.”
