Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North, encourages others to sign-up to a charity bike ride this Sunday.

Both keen cyclists, Chloe and her secretary, Alice Saunders-Eaves, will be attempting to cycle the Norwich 50 in aid of the British Heart Foundation and encourage others to get out and enjoy a safe day of cycling.

Entrants can sign- up for the Norwich 100, Norwich 50 or Norwich 25 online at www.bike-events.com until the end of Friday 25th May, or can turn up and register on the day.

Chloe, who last month launched her safer cycling campaign, has been working with local police and cycling clubs and organisations to campaign for increased co-operation between cyclists and other road users.

Chloe comments: “I am really looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic event, the weather forecast is looking great, and this event is a wonderful opportunity for Norwich folk to get out on their bikes whilst raising money for a very worthy cause.”

Chloe has previously raised funds for the British Heart Foundation when she set out to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2006. Last month Chloe’s secretary, Alice, cycled from London to Paris to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
