'Not Alone' campaign launched to help people's mental health over Christmas

Author: Chloe Smith, Updated: 17 December 2020 10:48

During the best of times Christmas can be an immensely challenging period for a lot of people for various reasons; with everything that has happened in 2020, this may be even more the case.

In recognition of this people across Norfolk are being reminded they do not have to suffer in silence this year as the mental health campaign - Not Alone - is relaunched.

The campaign is being run by Norfolk County Council, the Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust, Norfolk and Waveney Mind and the Clinical Commissioning Group.

As part of this, people are being encouraged to send a card to someone to show they are in your thoughts, which also signposts them to a range of services that can give them extra help.

You can find the e-card by visiting: https://t.email.archant.co.uk/lp/notalonethischristmas.

A paper version will be available in next tomorrow’s EDP and Evening News editions.

Should you ever feel you need urgent mental health support, there are resources available at the NSFT website https://www.nsft.nhs.uk/ or you can call their direct helpline on 0808 196 3494.

If I can help constituents with any matter, please do email me on chloe@chloesmith.org.uk.
