Government plans to boost arts funding and level up investment across the whole country

Today, the Government have announced plans to boost arts funding and level up investment across the country, so that everyone can access culture no matter where they live.

Everyone should have an equal opportunity to engage with world-class culture and fulfil their creative potential – but too many parts of the UK are currently left behind when it comes to arts funding.

That is why we today the Government has announced an additional £75 million in arts funding and plans to spread investment to places previously at the back of the queue – with 109 areas that will benefit from cultural levelling up.

This new investment will accelerate our plans to level up communities across the whole of the UK by creating jobs, renewing high streets and making sure everyone can reach their cultural potential no matter where they live.
