Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North has welcomed figures out today showing that more people are in work this month than last month.
In Norwich North the number of people claiming the key out of work benefits has fallen by 40 since May 2018. The total number of people claiming out of work benefits in Norwich North stands at 1.9% of the economically active population, which is ahead of the UK equivalent, which currently stands at 2.8%.
Chloe commented: “I’m delighted to see that Norwich North is ahead of the rest of the country in terms of employment rate. As Founder and Chair of the Norwich For Jobs Project, I know from speaking to people first-hand how life changing finding employment can be.”
