Chloe Smith MP reacts to CQC’s Report into Integrated Care 24 Limited

Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North, has received the report into IC24 which raises a number concerns and areas where IC24 must and should make improvements. 

 

Chloe Smith MP has been in contact with IC24 since January 2016 to raise serious concerns about the capacity of the service and visited the IC24, which is based at the eastern edge of her constituency, on 26^th February 2016 to raise these concerns directly with the CEO, Yvonne Taylor.   

 

Chloe Smith MP says:

 

“I was concerned to read the CQC’s findings from recent months, and I discussed the report with the Chief Executive of IC24 this morning.

 

“There were elements in the report which are disappointing, where IC24 must and should make improvements, although I support staff in the improvements they have already made in response.  It is vital that Norwich and Norfolk patients get a safe service that they can have confidence in.  

 

“I have asked to see IC24’s urgent action plan for maintaining improvements, and working more closely with other parts of the NHS.”
