Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North, has today written to Alan Pilbeam, Managing Director of First Eastern Counties about the poor bus service in Norwich.

As the Evening News has reported recently, bus services in the area have been unreliable at times, particularly during the recent cold snap. Chloe has received a number of complaints about the service provided by First Buses and is now urging Mr Pilbeam to take action on the issues her constituents have raised.

In the letter, Chloe mentions a number of common complaints including late-running buses and changes in routes and asks Mr Pilbeam to respond to each issue in turn.

Commenting on the campaign Chloe, who has recently spoken out on train service in the region as well as the need for "public, private and green transport choices" enabled by the building of the Norwich Northern Distributor Road, said:

"So many people in the city and the nearby areas rely on First Buses services on a daily basis. It's vital for the company to know what people think, and to improve their services accordingly."
