A sum of £3.7million has been announced by the Government to help ease winter pressures in Norfolk

Our local NHS services continue to experience high levels of demand, and I am pleased that this funding has been made available to our community, which the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board will be able to use towards supporting well patients to leave hospital, freeing up hospital beds, buying additional beds in care homes and helping our ambulances get back out into the community quicker.

I appreciate that this is a very difficult time for our health and care sector, and I will continue to work with local NHS leaders and Government to ensure we find solutions to the problems that we are currently experiencing.
