Foster Care Fortnight

Author: Chloe Smith, Updated: 16 May 2023 16:17

This week is the start of Foster Care Fortnight.

Foster Care Fortnight is The Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and show how foster care transforms lives.

Children and young people flourish in supportive, nurturing, and stable homes. Foster carers help make that happen for those who have had a difficult start in their young lives.

With over a thousand children needing care in Norfolk, there is always a need more people to take on this incredible role.

Experience of looking after or working with children is essential, but all different kinds of people can become foster carers. They use their different backgrounds, life skills and experience to support the children and young people they care for.
