Chloe presents charity cheque to young sufferers of leukaemia

Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North, today presented a cheque to young sufferers of leukaemia at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital following fundraising by staff and regulars at Thorpe St Andrew's Rushcutters pub.

With a team leader from the pub, she visited children at the Day Ward in the Jenny Lind Area of the Hospital where the children were also be presented with small gifts.

The cheque to Norwich Children's Leukaemia Fund comes as a result of a 1970s-themed fundraising night held at the Rushcutters on Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrew, on Friday 30th October. Chloe drew the raffle on the night.

Chloe comments: "I take my hat off to the pub for their fundraising in a way which drew people together at their local for a good cause. The charity does excellent work and I hope the funds raised will go some way to help local children."
