Briefing from the Chief Constable of Norfolk Constabulary

Author: Chloe Smith, Updated: 04 December 2020 13:59

I was glad to receive a briefing from the Chief Constable of Norfolk Constabulary, updating me on the most recent events within the local police force.

These updates give me the opportunity to support Norfolk Constabulary with any help they may need, and also pose any concerns I have had from constituents regarding policing on the streets of Norwich North.

I was pleased to hear that Norwich was one of four places to chosen for Operation Adder. This operation will provide the police with further funding, to allow for dedicated teams to help support constituents with drug addiction problems, who may turn to crime to fund their habits.

Additionally, it was fantastic to hear that Operation Orachi has shut down 40 County Lines gangs since it began. This is down to the hard work and dedication of our police officers.

If I can help constituents with any matter, please do email me on chloe@chloesmith.org.uk.
