Norwich Western Link Consultation

Author: Chloe Smith, Updated: 03 January 2019 14:44

Ensuring that Norwich has the transport infrastructure it needs is one of my key priorities for the local area. Encouraging people to have their say in how our County makes decisions is also something I think is really important. Please do take a moment to read about the Norwich Western Link Consultation and have your say.

The Consultation closes at midnight on Friday 18 January so I wanted to remind you that you only have two weeks left in which to let Norfolk County Council hear your views.

Norfolk County Council wants to create a Norwich Western Link to improve travel between the A47 and the western end of Broadland Northway (formerly the Northern Distributor Road) and to tackle transport problems in the area.

It's very important to let NCC hear your preferences so they understand concerns or priorities you want them to take into account when they are identifying a preferred route for the Norwich Western Link in spring 2019. This is also an opportunity to tell them about any relevant information that you think we should consider before we carry out more detailed work on the preferred route alignment.

You can find out more about the options online via Once you have looked through this information, there are a number of ways you can respond to the consultation. If you are responding on behalf of an organisation or in an official capacity, send your response in writing, as follows:

  • by email to
  • by post to Norwich Western Link, Infrastructure Delivery Team, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Floor 2, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH
