From Safety Net to Springboard

Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, is speaking at the YMCA’s fringe event at the Conservative Party Conference.

The YMCA is launching new research on how the social security system can be better designed to support young people into employment.

Commenting on the event Chloe said:

“As a patron of the YMCA I am delighted to take part in this event. In Norwich I have worked closely with the Job Centre on the Norwich for Jobs project, which has succeeded in halving youth unemployment. I believe that this model can be replicated up and down the country and I’d like to see other Job Centres taking on board what we have achieved here in Norwich.”
