Chloe visits local housing charity

Chloe Smith MP toured Norwich charity Julian Housing’s new facilities at Vanguard Court, off Armes Street, Norwich.

Founded in 1990, Julian Housing is a charity that assists those with mental health problems in the community. The organisation seeks to enable people with severe and ongoing mental health problems to live within the community in accommodation suited to their needs. Annually, Julian Housing assists over one thousand five hundred people in finding suitable housing using outreach teams in various locations around Norfolk.

Julian Housing’s new facility at Vanguard Court consists of 20 self-contained flats.  Accommodation is offered for between 6 and 12 months in this facility and in the aim of helping tenants to go on to establish more permanent arrangements and work towards employment and greater integration in the community.
