Chloe to join community campaigners at Norwich workshop

Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, will on Friday be participating in a workshop in Norwich run by the Sheila McKechnie Foundation aimed at promoting effective ways of campaigning.

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation is a charitable organisation that was set up to develop and support the next generation of campaigners – people who tackle injustice and develop sustainable and innovative solutions for social change on local and national levels. The Foundation has been funded through the Community and Local Government Empowerment Fund to deliver these campaigning and influencing workshops across the UK.

Commenting in advance of the seminar, Chloe Smith said:

"I think it is important to share ideas about how to influence society. I'll be learning plenty from the community campaigners, and I know we'll have an interesting discussion about ways of getting involved in the place where you live. It's good to welcome a national organisation to do this in Norwich."
