Chloe SmithChloe is campaigning for an improvement to rail services between Norwich and London in conjunction with Shaping Norfolk's Future.
Rail links in the region have been criticised in the past for being much slower than in other parts of the country and Chloe is keen for this to change. This is shown in the journey times between London and other cities in the UK. The 115 mile journey from Norwich to London takes around 1hr 50 mins, while the 180 mile journey from York to London takes 1 hr 59mins and the 118 mile journey from Birmingham to London takes just 1hr 23 mins.
Commenting on rail links between Norwich and London, Chloe said: "Commuters and occasional travellers alike in Norwich demand better services. The journey time is too long and both the weekend and weekday services frequently disappoint. We all want to see commitment from the Government and the industry to some basic improvements."
