Chloe Smith MP has today joined calls for a meeting with the Chief Executive of the Financial Services Authority on that authority's role throughout the Keydata collapse.

Chloe has said:

"Many people in Norwich are extremely concerned about their savings through Keydata.

"On a practical basis, I and fellow Norfolk MPs have met the Chief Executive of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to seek information and assurances relating to the compensation scheme for which the FSCS is responsible. I accept that due process should be followed to resolve the question of compensation.

"However, many concerns remain about the FSA's role in the saga. People want to know:

1. What the FSA knew and when;
2. What the FSA has done to date within its powers; and
3. Where any gaps may exist for the better protection of consumers in this case or other such cases."

Chloe calls for a meeting with the FSA in Westminster to discuss the issue. Norfolk MPs have met the FSCS to discuss the issue, and Norman Lamb MP has also contacted the FSA
