Thousands of jobs in Norwich depend on financial services, science, digital and tech, as well as the city’s thriving cultural scene and growing tourism industry - as the Norwich North MP has told Parliament in a speech about Brexit in July.
Chloe Smith will this week use a further Parliamentary Question to ask Ministers what steps the Government will take to seek new opportunities for these sectors, as part of the Brexit negotiations.
Commenting on the ongoing Brexit debate, Chloe said:
“Jobs and livelihoods in Norwich depend upon us being an outward-looking country. These negotiations are a chance to demonstrate that we are Great Britain, and that Norwich's industries carry huge opportunity. I welcome the Prime Minister’s commitment to forging new relationships across the globe following our exit from the EU. Now is the time for all of us, regardless of which way we voted, to come together and engage with the opportunities and challenges to come.”
